Passion fruit is something I have seen at our grocery stores before, but I had never bought it before because I didn't know what to do with it. When I was scrolling through some books here on Amazon, I saw this book and decided to find out what passion fruit is and how to use it, and I'm thankful I did.Monica does a great job explaining what passion fruit is and how it is known in different parts of the world. In addition, she explains how to use it in recipes. I appreciate how she lists the ingredients, how to prepare the recipes, and then how she includes a "Chef's Notes" at the end of each one. This section is used to explain some unusual things that might occur during preparation, or offers various ways to garnish and serve the recipe you are making.
Because of Monica's book, I'm now on my way to enjoying a new favorite. I had no idea just how delicious this fruit could be.

Some basic recipes are missing, like how to make passion fruit puree or molasses. If you are looking for pictures you will be disappointed. The only picture is on the cover.
I am a huge fan of passionfruit so I am always looking for recipes. The recipes are good but I would like more photos of the dishes.
We live in South America where we can get fresh passion fruit year round. We've tried a good number of these recipes and loved every one of them...yummy! Love my Fire...it makes it possible for me to download books any where....even Ecuador.
If you love the flavor of passionfruit as much as I do this book is delectable find. It not only offers lots of fabulous sounding recipes but it tells how to buy passionfruit and what it offers. I wish passionfruit was more readily available in this area but, when I am lucky enough to find it, I now have endless recipes to try! Passionfruit Creme Brule, anyone?
We havethis fruit growing wildly in our yard but all I knew how to use it for was to make juice. I am so happy that there is a myriad of choices in preparing other things.The recipes are easy to follow and does not require exotic ingredients to complete the dish. I am so grateful for this book that I have it listed under favorites in my kindle. Can't wait to make many more delicious meals using this fruit.
"Passion Fruit Recipes" definitely spills the beans about this exotic fruit. From a detailed description of the different types and flavors - to how to buy it at the grocery store - to how to use it in many different recipes, this book offers enough information, tips and of course, recipes to satisfy even the most die-hard fan. I am not a good cook, but the passion and energy that the author brings to each page made me want to run out and buy passion fruit!
There are plenty of recipes to try but I found some errors from just skimming through and the lack of an index makes it difficult to go back to a specific recipe. I am using the kindle app for iPhone, so maybe there are features missing that I would have on a kindle reader. I was also hoping there would be some sauce recipes that could be used on chicken and fish at the very least. It is only desserts and cocktails for the most part.
